Take as many pictures as you can – Protection of houses
What if I could tell you a secret that some contractors are aware, but it seems that most owners never do? What if I said something that could save you thousands of dollars in home repairs, problems with litigation and insurance, in the future? I think I have your attention, not I.
I’m talking about a simple picture, take some photos of your house and save it somewhere. It’s that simple. Professional cameras are used now more than ever because they save money images. Some of these images will prevent others from taking the ruthless another to court. Money in court costs.
A picture is worth a thousand words and some of these pictures are worth thousands of dollars. If you have a film camera, I would suggest that you take all the movies of their possessions, just in case we ever lost, stolen or destroyed by natural disasters.
I consider myself an experienced contractor and take pictures around the world. When I go on an estimate, take as many pictures as possible of the project. Even if I’m just watching the kitchen, I also take photographs of the exterior of the house. Sometimes, images like these can help the interior designer and other contractors, make decisions about other things that might be important for the remodeling project.
If you have a digital camera, there is a good chance that you can shoot everything in your house in less than an hour. You must do this at least twice a year, or in other words, every six months. It will not cost anything, but could save a lot if there was ever a problem in the future.
I would advise you to store some of these images in your workplace or a trusted friend of the house, just in case something happened to your house.
